The President in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India appointed Justice Indira

The President in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India appointed Justice Indira Banerjee, Judge of the Delhi High Court, to be the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court with effect from the date she assumes charge of her office.
