CHRIST Treaty Drafting and Negotiation Competition 2025 is a unique national-level event that emphasizes critical thinking, public discourse, and collaborative problem-solving. The event details are as follows. The event is organized by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Cell of the School of Law and the International Relations and Foreign Policy Committee (IRFPC), CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. The competition shall take place on the 25th February, 2025 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore Central Campus.
Event Details:
The CHRIST Treaty Drafting & Negotiation Competition is a unique platform for law students and professionals to explore the intersection of International Environmental Law and International Investment Law. Participants will draft a bilateral treaty addressing pressing global issues such as sustainable mining practices, investment regulations, and ecological preservation. The event features rigorous rounds of treaty drafting and negotiation simulations, encouraging participants to engage in real-world legal challenges while promoting global sustainability.

Team Composition: Individual or teams of two members
Registration Fee: ₹350/- per team
Accommodation: The top 4 teams who qualify to the final rounds / offline rounds are kindly requested to arrange their own lodging as accommodation will not be provided by the organizers.
Eligibility Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Cross-institutional teams are not allowed.
Prizes Cash prizes and trophies for Winners, Runners-up, Second Runners-up, and Third Runners-up.
