NLU Jodhpur announces Eighth NLU Antitrust Moot Court Competition, 2017

The Eighth NLU Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition, 2017 will be hosted and organized by National Law University, Jodhpur from March 3

The Eighth NLU Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition, 2017 will be hosted and organized by National Law University, Jodhpur from March 3 to 5, 2017, in association with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., and knowledge and research partners, SCC Online® and Eastern Book Company, under the patronage of the Competition Commission of India. Over the last seven years, this competition has grown into one of the biggest moot court competitions in India owing to challenging problems and excellent judging. Likewise, it witnesses the participation of some of the best law colleges in the country. Participants get the opportunity to argue before expert practitioners and academicians, including judges from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. and the Competition Commission of India.

Students pursuing three or five year courses of LL.B. degree in the academic year 2016-2017 from any recognised Law School/College/University in India are eligible to participate. A maximum of 40 teams shall be permitted to participate in this edition of the competition, the registration for which would be made on a first come first serve basis. Release of the Proposition and Rules : 18th Jan, 2017

Last date for seeking Clarifications : 27th Jan, 2017

Release of Clarifications : 29th Jan, 2017

Registration Deadline : 4th Feb, 2017

Last date for Submission of Electronic Copy of Memorials : 25th Feb, 2017

Last date for Submission of Printed Copy of Memorials : 3rd March, 2017

Competition : 3rd-5th March, 2017

Provisional registration, in case the team composition has not been determined, may be done by sending an e-mail confirming participation.

The cash prizes to be awarded are as follows:

* Winning Team: Rupees 20,000

* Runners Up Team: Rupees 12,000

* Best Memorial: Rupees 6,000

* Best Researcher: Rupees 2,000

* Best Student Advocate: Rupees 5,000

* Second Best Student Advocate: Rupees 3,000

* Best Student Advocate of the Finals: Rupees 2,000

Apart from cash prizes, participants also stand a chance to win the following prizes sponsored by SCC Online and Eastern Book Company:
