NLUJ | 3rd edition of ‘LEX QUEST’

The Legal Aid and Awareness Committee (LAAC) of National Law University, Jodhpur is organising the third edition of the Inter-School Legal Quiz Competition, ‘LEX QUEST’. The Competition is open for the students of 9th to 12th grade in various schools of Jodhpur. Through this quiz, LAAC aims to disseminate legal literacy amongst students by making them aware of the fundamental laws of the country such as the Indian Penal Code, Constitution of India, Right to Information, Consumer related laws, Juvenile Justice Act etc.
In the past, LAAC has organised two successful editions of the same involving more than 250 students. Shri Aurobindo and St Austin School emerged as winners of the Competition.  The quiz consists of two stages. The first is the intra-school written preliminary round to be held in the respective schools. Further top 3 students from each school shall enter the second stage which is an oral inter-school stage which will be conducted at National Law University, Jodhpur. LAAC will provide the interested students with a course material, “Juris Liber”, prepared by the members of the Committee summarising the basic laws of the country. The Course material along with current affairs will form the basis of questions to be asked during the quiz competition.
The registration fee for the quiz is Rs.100 per student. Winners and runners up will be awarded with prize money worth Rs.5000 along with a participation certificate. The registration is open and the last date for registering is 30th July, 2019.The intra-school round will be conducted in the third week of August, 2019 and the inter-school rounds will be held in September, 2019.
