GNLU | ‘IP AWAKE’ One Day IP Workshop on 30 January 2020

GNLU Centre for IPR is pleased to announce IP AWAKE: One Day Workshop on Creating Awareness on Intellectual Property Rights for Academia, Start-ups and Technopreneurs, jointly organized by IP India (Office of the Controller General of Patents, Design and Trade Marks, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Gujarat National Law University.
 
The workshop will be organized at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar on 30 January 2020 from 09:30 A.M. onwards. It shall provide a comprehensive overview of IPRs (special focus on Patents and Geographical Indications), amendments to IP laws, IP valuations and management, awareness about government & industry policies and initiatives, benefits of IP for startups and more. On behalf of the organizers, GNLU extends a warm invite to your institution to participate in the workshop. Please note that there are no participation fees. A detailed schedule shall follow soon. Kindly note, registrations are open for all students till Sunday (26 January 2020) 05:00 P.M. OADA      (On Academic Duty Attendance) will be granted for classes in lieu of participation in the workshop.  
 
Keeping in mind the various digital developments that are re-shaping contours of Intellectual Property, this workshop will be extremely helpful to you for understanding the Indian IP ecosystem, its strengths and weaknesses.
