In 2019, EBC published a book, An Idea of a Law School, Ideas from the Law School (Edited by Dr Madhava Menon, Mr Murali Neelakantan and Mr Sumeet Malik). This work examines the scope and impact of a catalytic revolution in legal education in India marked by the establishment of NLSIU, Bangalore by Dr NR Madhava Menon. 
Three panel discussions around Legal Education and its future were conducted along with the release of this book. These panel discussions took place at the London School of Economics (LSE) in London, at the Bangalore International Centre in Bengaluru and the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
Donations, surpluses of the sales and royalties from this book amounted to a figure of Rs 1.5 lakhs. EBC has matched the amount and a donation of about Rs 3 lakhs was made to IDIA. Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education (IDIA) is a non-profit organisation which aims to empower underprivileged children by giving them access to quality legal education. EBC continues in pursuit of helping the cause of the underprivileged and the not so fortunate and in a way realising the dreams of Late Prof. Shamnad Basheer, the founder of IDIA.
