On May 12, 2021, Revised guidelines for all districts for containment of COVID-19 has been issued by Assam State Disaster Management Authority.

Following directives which will be applicable in respect of urban areas and adjacent areas within 5km radius from the periphery of municipal corporations/ municipal boards/revenue boards which will come into force on May 13, 2021.

  • All shops and commercial establishments shall shut down at 1PM on all days.
  • Weekly Haats/ Bazaars will not be allowed for 15 days.
  • Restaurants, Dhabas and other eateries can entertain dine-in guest only upto 1 PM and after which it will be home delivery only.
  • Delivery of essential goods through e-commerce may continue observance of COVID-appropriate behaviour.
  • Pharmacies, Hospitals, Animal Care Centres and Veterinary Clinics may operate without restrictions.
  • All Educational Institutions must provide quality virtual options.
  • All offices both Government and non Government offices shall remain shut down for 15 days.
