Parliament Security Breach | Patiala House Court remands 4 accused to 15 days custody

On 14-12-2023, the Court had remanded them for a period of 7 days.

Patiala House Court: The Additional Sessions Judge Hardeep Kaur extended the custody of four accused in Parliament Security Breach matter for a period of 15 days.

A major security breach took place in the Parliament on the anniversary of 2001 Parliament terror attack. The report suggested that two persons jumped into Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery and released a fluorescent coloured gas inside the Parliament. The other two accused persons were spraying similar gas outside Parliament.

All four accused persons were booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. Earlier, on 14-12-2023, the Court had remanded them for a period of 7 days. The Delhi police on expiry of the said period, sought the Delhi Police sought a further custody of 15 days, to complete their investigation.
