  • According to our constitution every citizen shall have right to exercise fundamental rights. Right to procreation of children is choice of convict, he can his right lawfully, it is not unlawful and not harm to any individual.

  • I think that the High Court has taken the fundamental right of a convict to the extreme. What happens if the convict is of life imprisonment and he has crossed 45 years at the time of his conviction and sentencing? He comes from a poor family and has already 3 children. He is sent on parole allowing him to exercise his fundamental right to procreate. He comes home; his wife is, illiterate, unemployed and a house wife cursing him day in and day out for giving her the burden of looking after 3 children. Is allowing him to exercise his right of procreation necessary or is allowing his wife and children to leave peacefully without any additional burden is more necessary? I am for the second choice rather than the convict to add to the burden of his family. If he were so conscious of his fundamental right why he did not think of the fundamental rights of his own family members before embarking upon committing the offence? K.R.Nair

  • Fundamental rights in our Constitution are driven by dumb principles. If a particular subject is convicted for graver crime then he/she should be striped off of the fundamental rights. Commission of offence itself means you (the convict) did not pay any regard to the fundamental rights of the victim. Therefore, convict guilty of grave crime should be done away with ‘the fundamental rights’ in the Constitution.

  • Ma’am explained very interesting points about fundamental rights in the video. Thank you and look forward to upcoming blogs and videos.
