The Centre for Research, Development, and Training in Cyber Laws and Cyber Security of Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirappalli is organising a one-day National Conference on the topic ‘Cyber Crimes and Artificial Intelligence’ on the 21st of September, 2024.

About the Conference:

The breakneck pace of advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI) has led to its increased involvement in committing cyber crimes. It is crucial for policymakers to develop proactive strategies on preventing crimes at this developmental stage, alongside sensitization and creating awareness about the dangers of AI in cyber crime. The conference aims to initiate and propagate discussion on these topics while encouraging academic discourse about the regulation of AI through paper presentations and a panel discussion featuring eminent scholars in the field of cyber crimes and Artificial Intelligence.

About the Centre for Research, Development and Training in Cyber Laws and Cyber Security:

The Centre for Research, Development, and Training in Cyber Laws and Cyber Security is a university-level research centre, funded by the Tamil Nadu Government in 2022. The centre is dedicated to promoting awareness and provide training on cyber laws and cyber security to a range of professionals, and to bring awareness to Internet users. Our focus is on technical issues related to the prevention of technology misuse and the effective enforcement of related laws. In addition, we organize various events under the scheme of Cyber Jagrukta (Security)

Awareness Diwas such as webinars, translation series, essay writing competitions, and training programs, to further advance our goals.

Kindly note that the aforementioned sub-themes are purely illustrative and any submission pertaining to the main themes shall be considered.

Submission Guidelines:

  • An abstract of 300 words and 6 or 7 keywords has to be submitted.

  • The abstract must contain only the title of the paper.

  • The name of the author(s), designation, institutional affiliation, e-mail address, postal address, and contact number must be sent in a separate cover note along with the abstract.

  • Co-authorship is allowed up to a maximum of 2 authors.

  • Authors whose abstracts have been selected can submit the full papers of 3500 — 5000 words, including footnotes.

  • Submissions should be original and unpublished works. If any submission is found plagiarized, it will be rejected outright.

  • Acceptance of full papers will be intimated before the conference as per the mentioned timeline. Only accepted papers will be allowed to be presented.

  • Only 50 paper presenter slots shall be available.

  • Submissions for consideration must be made via e-mail to cyberlawcenter@tnnlu.ac.in with the subject ‘Abstract Submission for CCAI Conference, TNNLU

  • Authors must follow the Bluebook 21st edition citation style for the abstract and the full paper.

The conference is open to all students across various disciplines, Ph.D. scholars, Academicians, Lawyers, Researchers, Policy Makers, Police Officers and Officials from various Departments, Representatives from Institutions, Social activists and NGOs.
