This competition invites scholars, professionals, and students to submit their original research papers on topics related to law, policy, and social justice.

1st Prize: INR 75,000/

2nd Prize: INR 50,000/-

3rd Prize: INR 25,000/-

The best 20-30 papers will be compiled and published in a book, which will be launched during the centenary celebrations of Late Shri Karavadi Venkateswarlu Garu.

Competition Theme

The Cardinal Concepts of Civil Procedure Code, a Critique or Critical Analysis on Their Evolution and Crystallization

Participants are invited to explore critical concepts of the Civil Procedure Code (CPC) and analyze their evolution and current relevance. The following are suggested topics, providing a directory for research, though participants have the liberty to choose any topic in line with the theme.

15. The Intersection of Technology and the CPC: Evolution of E-filing and Virtual Hearings

Submission Guidelines:

1. Eligibility: Open to all scholars, professionals, and students.

2. Format: Papers should be in English with 4000-6000 words.

3. Citation Format: The authors shall follow India Law Institute Citation format only in order to ensure uniformity in selection process.

5. Submission Deadlines: For Abstract – 10th August 2024, For Paper – 28th August 2024.

6. How to Submit: Papers should be submitted via email to research@karavadi.in with the subject line “Call for Papers Competition Submission”.

7. Copyright Transfer: All submissions must be accompanied by a specified form transferring the exclusive copyright over the article to M/s. Karavadi & Associates.

Publication:

The top 20-30 papers will be edited and published as a commemorative book on CPC by Dr. Nidhi Buch, Associate Professor of Law, Gujarat National Law University.

Awards Ceremony: The winners will be awarded their prizes during the centenary celebrations of Late Shri Karavadi Venkateswarlu Garu. This event will also mark the inauguration of a bi-annual lecture series and future competitions.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Original Work: Submissions must be the original work of the participant. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.

2. Copyright: By submitting a paper, participants grant M/s. Karavadi & Associates the exclusive right to publish and distribute the work. M/s. Karavadi & Associates shall own the copyright over the articles.

3. Multiple Submissions: Participants may submit more than one paper, but each must be a separate entry.

4. Judging: The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

5. Confidentiality: All submissions will be treated with utmost confidentiality.

6. Submission and Publication: Please be advised that the submission of an abstract or paper alone does not entitlement of publication. All submissions will be subjected to a comprehensive review process. Only those submissions that receive approval from the review panel will be considered for publication.
