About GMAC
GITAM Moot and Advocacy Committee (GMAC) is a remarkable wing of the GITAM School of Law, which is dedicated to provide comprehensive advocacy training to students. GMAC had organized various moot court competitions, both external and internal, ensuring students have ample opportunities to hone their legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Students are given necessary guidance and networking opportunities, which would reshape their career path.
Moot Court 2024
The GITAM Moot & Advocacy Committee (GMAC) of GITAM School of Law, Visakhapatnam is proud to announce the 5th edition of the “Dr. MVVS Murthi National Virtual Moot Court Competition” 2024, which will be held from 19th to 22nd of September, 2024, in association with Vydyulaw Associates and SCC Online as Knowledge Partner and SCC Times as Media Partner.
The Dr. M.V.V.S. Murthi National Virtual Moot Court Competition has been one of the significant events, aimed at nurturing the advocacy skills of aspiring lawyers across the country. The competition provides a platform for law students to hone their legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills in a simulated court environment judged by eminent legal professionals and academicians. This year’s moot is particularly significant as it delves into the discipline of Criminal Law amidst a transformative era in India’s legal landscape. With the recent overhaul of colonial-era criminal codes and the introduction of new criminal laws, this competition presents a unique and timely challenge for aspiring advocates.
