IIAC International Arbitration Moot

The JGLS Moot Court Society (MCS), established in 2009, has consistently dedicated itself to fostering a vibrant and dynamic culture of oral advocacy and mooting.

JGLS has announced the inaugural edition of the JGLS International Arbitration Moot Court (IAM) Competition, 2024.

The Moot Problem focuses on key procedural aspects of International Commercial Arbitration, including security for costs, third-party funding, joinder of parties, and expert witnesses. Procedurally, the Moot Problem adheres to the Rules of the India International Arbitration Centre (IIAC) and includes Procedural Orders issued by the Tribunal. The oral rounds of the Competition are scheduled to take place from 25th to 27th October.

Eligibility

The Competition is open to all students, enrolled bona-fide on a regular basis in an Undergraduate Law Programmes {B.A./BBA/B. Com LL. B (H) or its equivalent conducted by any recognized institution}. A recognized institution shall be entitled to send only one team to the competition. In a system where a university has constituent colleges, each college can register a team or the university as such can be represented by a team comprising students from different constituent colleges. Each team would consist of three members.
