The School of Criminal Law and Military Law, Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gandhinagar is excited to announce the launch of the 2024 RRU International Moot Court Competition (RIMC), which will take place from December 6 – 8, 2024 (Friday-Sunday), on the RRU campus in Gandhinagar. RRU (www.rru.ac.in) is an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and established through Act No. 31 of 2020 by the Parliament of India.
The University is a leading hub for international law in India with its Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, an esteemed member of the United Nations International Law Commission. To foster a mooting culture and initiate discourses on contemporary public international law issues, the 2024 RIMC will be centered around International Economic and Financial Security Laws.
The Competition will follow a memorial-selection format wherein the Top-16 Teams (10 spots reserved for Indian teams and 6 for non-Indian teams) will be invited to the RRU Campus for the Oral Rounds after the evaluation of Memorials. The Oral Rounds will comprise two Preliminary Rounds, followed by the Quarter-Finals, the Semi-Finals, and ultimately the Championship Match.

Cash Awards: Winning Team- INR 1,21,000 (USD 1448) Runners-Up- 81,000 (USD 970) Best Speaker- 51,000 (USD 610) Best Memorial- 51,000 (USD 610).
Internship Opportunity: The winning team shall have the opportunity to intern under Dr. Bimal N. Patel, Member United Nations International Law Commission.
