Law and Technology Committee
Law and Technology Committee, at the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is a dedicated student organization focused on exploring the intersection of technology and law. It facilitates interdisciplinary discussions on emerging fields such as ICT, biotechnology, nanotechnology, cryptocurrency, and tokenization. The Committee serves as a forum for debating Technology, Media, and Telecommunication Law, providing valuable insights for further education and career opportunities.
Legal Pitch: National Legal Start-Up & Business Plan competition 2024-2025
The 1st Legal Pitch: National Legal Start-Up & Business Plan Competition aims to promote and support various innovative ideas in the legal and allied fields. The legal industry is facing challenges such as case backlogs and complex compliance issues, which require creative solutions. Startups and innovation are playing a crucial role in driving change, with government ministries introducing schemes to support them. Under the theme “Empowering Justice Through Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Technology,” the competition highlights how these cutting-edge technologies can address legal challenges. In addition to legal practice, law firms must focus on effective business planning, revenue goals, and differentiation to ensure economic viability and long-term success.

– Submission of applications (Screening round): 15th November,2024
– Communication of acceptance of applications: 20th November, 2024
– Preliminary Rounds – 2nd Round (Virtual): 7th December, 2024
– Final Rounds – 3rd Round ( Physical): 16th December, 2024
