1. About the University
The National Law University Meghalaya (NLU Meg) is the first National Law University established in Meghalaya. Located in Shillong, often referred to as the ‘Scotland of the East’, this premier law school aims to pioneer legal educational reforms and anchor the transformation of legal education.
2. About the Symposium
The National Law University Meghalaya, Shillong, in collaboration with IKP Prime, IKP Knowledge Park, Hyderabad, and IPR Cell, Department of Law, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, is hosting the Tech Transfer & IPR Symposium 2024 in Hybrid Mode. The symposium aims to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and government, particularly in the technologically rich yet underutilized regions of North East India and Meghalaya.
3. Theme
The theme of the symposium is “Navigating Intellectual Property Rights in the Innovation Landscape”. This theme underscores the crucial role of IP management in shaping and advancing the innovation ecosystem.

5. Mode and Venue
The symposium will take place on November 15 – 16, 2024, at National Law University Meghalaya, Shillong, Meghalaya.
Additionally, Hybrid Mode has been introduced, allowing participants to present their research either in person or online. This provides greater flexibility and accessibility for all participants.
