About the Conference

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, is organizing a Two-Day International Conference on “Constitution@75: Evolving Text, Context & Transformations — Rights, Governance & Technology in Focus” to commemorate 75 glorious years of the Indian Constitution. This event, set for January 25—26, 2025, aims to create a platform for scholars, academicians, legal practitioners, and policymakers to engage in enriching discussions on the transformative journey of the Indian Constitution and its relevance in addressing contemporary challenges.

The conference will feature insightful keynote addresses, parallel technical sessions, and a special Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Lecture, focusing on the Constitution’s text, its dynamic interpretations, and its response to modern issues such as governance, rights, and technological advancements.

Themes and Sub-Themes

Participants are invited to submit papers addressing one or more of the following sub-themes:

  1. The Living Constitution: Interpretative journeys and evolving constitutional text.

  2. Governance and Rights: Balancing federalism, judicial reflections, and legislative dynamics.

  3. Inclusivity and Social Justice: Gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, caste, class, and religion.

  4. Technology and Governance: Data privacy, cybersecurity, and the digital divide.

  5. Comparative Perspectives: Indian Constitution and global frameworks.

  6. Future Directions: Fundamental rights in the AI era and environmental justice.
