Supreme Court Collegium recommends appointment of Judicial Officers and Advocates as High Court Judges

On 22-12-2024, the Collegium recommended six candidates to be appointed as Judges in four High Courts of India.

The Supreme Court Collegium on 22-12-2024 headed by Justice Sanjiv Khanna, CJI., recommended the names of several Judicial Officers and Advocates as Judges of various High Courts. The recommended names are as follows:

Judicial Officers

Following names were recommended to be appointed as Judges of Rajasthan High Court:

(i) Chandra Shekhar Sharma,

(ii) Pramil Kumar Mathur, and

(iii) Chandra Prakash Shrimali.

Following Judicial Officer’s name was recommended to be appointed as Judge of Uttaranchal High Court:

(i) Ashish Naithani

Advocates

Praveen Kumar Giri was recommended to be appointed as a Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad.

Pravin Sheshrao Patil was recommended to be appointed as a Judge of the High Court of Bombay.
