Lahoti, the then Chief Justice of India. About the Competition:

The Justice P.N. Bhagwati International Moot Court Competition on Human Rights pays tribute to the vision of (Late) Justice P.N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India. Since its inception in 2011, the competition has gained global recognition, providing students with opportunities to delve into the complexities of International Human Rights Law and enhance their advocacy skills.

Eligibility Criteria:

The Competition has a cap of 32 Teams and is open for students enrolled bona-fide on a regular basis in an Undergraduate Law Course or its equivalent conducted by any recognized College/ Institution/ University.

How to Register:

  • Interested applicants may complete the 1st step to register through the link provided in the rule book.

Registration Fees:

The registration fee is INR 6,000/- per Team for Indian Teams. All other Teams shall pay the sum amounting to INR 7000/- as registration fee.

Venue:

13th Justice P.N. Bhagwati International Moot Court Competition on Human Rights, 2025 shall be held in an offline mode at lushful premises of the prestigious Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Campus, Erandwane, Pune, Maharashtra – 411038 (INDIA) from March 20 to 22, 2025.

Accommodation, Food & Travel:

The registration fee covers both lodging and meals. Accommodation shall be available to all participating teams from 19.03.2025 – 23.03.2025­

Awards:

  • Winners: Rs. 35,000 and Trophy.

  • Runner Up: Rs. 20,000 and Trophy.

  • Best Speaker: Rs. 5,000 and Trophy.

  • Best Memorial: Rs. 10,000 and Trophy.

  • Best Researcher: Rs. 5,000 and Trophy.

Important Dates:

  • 1st February 2025: Last date to register for the competition

  • 12th February 2025: Allotment of team code

  • 14th February 2025: Last date for seeking clarification

  • 17th February 2025: Release of clarification

  • 5th March 2025: Last date for submitting memorials (soft copies)

  • 20-22nd March 2025: Inauguration Ceremony, Oral Rounds of the competition, and Valedictory Ceremony
