1. About the organiser/college/university-

The Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology (FIMT) is a NAAC accredited prestigious college in Delhi with an ambiance of representing the academic culture of the capital town of the largest democracy of the world and a vibrant emerging economy. Established by the Fairfield Group of Institutions, it is an A+ Grade College approved by the Government of NCT of Delhi, affiliated to the prestigious Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, which is the first university established by the Government of Delhi. FIMT is approved by the Bar Council of India and National Council for Teacher Education and other authenticating bodies. It is backed by a legacy of 48 years of shaping students’ career in the country in areas of Management, Commerce, Teachers Education, Journalism, Information and Communication Technology, Humanities, and Law and Legal Studies. 2. Details about the event/opportunity-

Fairfield – FIMT-School of Law, Moot Court Society conducting 4th All India Moot Court Competition-2025. The competition will be in form of an oral proceeding giving real-life simulation of a court proceeding in which we see how convincing the argument is given by the student based on law and other aspects of one’s court ethics and verbal ability.

The objective of this Moot Court Competition is to develop academic and advocacy excellence among students all around the nation, inculcating the spirit of leadership and teamwork, ultimately leading to professional excellence. In this competition, a proper court scenario is created where the students act like the Counsellors (Advocates) presenting each side (Appellant and Defendant) based on evidence and substantive questions of law, argue with each other to prove their issues in the respective sides in front of the judges who in the end will give the judgment, rounds after rounds.

The objective of this moot court competition doesn’t only restrict itself to the spirit of competition and teamwork, whereas it gets ahead of the normal and gives chance to represent their individualities.

The competition shall be conducted in HYBRID mode at the FIMT Institutional Campus, Bijwasan Road, New Delhi-110097 from 7th , 8th & 22nd March 2025.

3. Who is it for/eligibility-

  • The competition is open to all students enrolled bona fide on a regular basis in a law course or its equivalent, conducted by any recognized College/ Institution/ University.

  • Each team shall comprise three members, two of whom shall be designated as speakers, and the third member shall be designated as a researcher.

4. Location (country/state/city)-

The Competition will be conducted virtually on March 7th & 8th , 2025. The final round will be conducted on March 22nd , 2025, in physical mode at FIMT Institutional Campus, Bijwasan Road, New Delhi-110097

5. Registration/submission procedure-

  • Each team must register by filling up the Registration Form with all the necessary details and by paying the registration fees as provided in the rules of competition; on or before 08th February, 2025 (11:59 PM)

  • A scanned bonafide letter issued by the appropriate authority of the Team’s recognized College/ Institution/ University shall be uploaded on the google form.

  • Once a team registers by completing the formalities given in the rules of the competition, a code (herein after “TEAM CODE”) shall be assigned to the Team by 13th February, 2025.

6. Fee details

  • The registration fee for the competition is 5,100 (₹)

  • The registration fee shall be non-refundable and paid by all teams.

  • Accommodation shall be provided for the final round on request.

8. Deadlines/dates:

  • Registrations are to be done on or before : 8th, FEBRUARY, 2025

  • Clarifications on the Moot Problem are to be sent before : 21st, FEBRUARY, 2025

  • Submission of Soft Copy Memorials on or before : 1st, MARCH, 2025

  • Commencement of Oral Rounds : 7th, 8th & 22nd MARCH, 2025
