ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
Saveetha School of Law established in 2009 aims to strive for quality legal education and maintains higher standards of legal research and training. With its academic autonomy together with flexibility for innovation in teaching under excellence, the school is striving to emerge as one of the Best Institutions in the field of Legal Education. ABOUT THE EVENT
JUS LEX 2025 is a premier Trial Advocacy Competition designed to enhance law students’ understanding of criminal law and courtroom practices. Centred on the recently enacted criminal laws in India, it provides a national platform for budding advocates to demonstrate their advocacy skills. This competition bridges the gap between theoretical learning and practical litigation by fostering critical thinking, persuasive argumentation, and strategic litigation skills. Participants will engage in realistic trial scenarios, complete with witnesses and judges, offering an immersive experience in the workings of trial courts. Jus Lex aspires to cultivate a spirit of excellence and prepare students for the dynamic challenges of criminal litigation in India.
We are also proud to announce SCC Online as the exclusive Knowledge Partner and SCC Times as the official Media Partner for the JUS LEX Trial Advocacy Competition 2025. As pioneers in legal research and publishing, SCC Online and SCC Times bring immense value to our event through their unparalleled support and resources.
ELIGIBILITY
The Competition is open to students enrolled in a recognised 3-year or 5-year law programme in India. Each institution may register only three teams. Each team shall compose of 2 speakers and 1 Researcher.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
The Event is restricted to 48 Teams. The first 48 teams who provisionally register via the provided google form shall be eligible to participate in Preliminary rounds. Base Registration fee to participate in Preliminary Round shall be Rs.2000. Preliminary round shall be conducted in Online Mode. Only Top 16 teams shall be qualified to the Advanced Round which shall happen in-person at Saveetha School of Law. Teams qualified for the Advanced Rounds shall pay additional Fee of Rs.1500.
Form to register provisionally shall be found inside the Brochure. Payment Details shall be sent to the first 48 teams via mail.
