The Cell for Law and Technology (CLT) at the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, established in 2019, aims to foster awareness and drive research at the intersection of law and technology. CLT actively organizes workshops, conferences, competitions, and interactive sessions to engage students and professionals in the evolving domain of technology law.

ABOUT TECHTONIC
NLIU-CLT is organising the fourth edition of the NLIU-CLT Technology and Law Fair: Techtonic 2024 from 07th February 2025 to 9th February 2025. The event provides a chance for aspiring lawyers to explore their talent as policy makers as well as gain insight into various technology law related issues, plans and solutions. The two major highlights of this event are the NLIU-CLT Policy Case Competition which provides the students with an opportunity to question, analyse and improve upon the law on a pressing policy matter and the Round Table Conference which includes a panel discussion with renowned industry experts. The NLIU-CLT Law and Technology Fair: ‘Techtonic’ is a major flagship event organized by the NLIU Cell for Law and Technology annually. It provides a chance for aspiring lawyers to explore their talent as policy makers as well as gain insight into various technology law related issues, plans and solutions.
1. NLIU-CLT POLICY CASE COMPETITION
The NLIU-CLT Policy Case Competition, a one-of-a-kind competition in India, is hosted annually by the NLIU Cell for Law and Technology, as part of Techtonic, in order to inspire students to think critically, analytically, and creatively and to put forth policy proposals on real life issues. The Cell is excited to organize the fourth iteration of the Competition this year, which will include participation from law students throughout the nation and abroad.

Eligibility:
Each team must consist of two students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate law programs or related fields within the same university. Inter-university collaborations are not permitted.
2. THE ROUND TABLE CONFERENCE
The Cell for Law and Technology is excited to organise the fourth iteration of the Round Table Conference this year, which will include participation by the corps d’elite of the trade from across the nation and abroad. Industry experts from across the globe shall present their viewpoints and all the participants of Techtonic shall witness it on our scenic campus. A healthy discussion shall be promoted. The conference shall be held physically at NLIU, Bhopal.
Theme: The tentative theme of the Round Table Conference this year is ‘Digital Evidence and Cyber Forensic’.

About the competition
TechTask is an agreement-drafting competition. This competition provides a unique opportunity to put your legal expertise to the test and demonstrate your proficiency in drafting precise, well-structured, and professional legal agreements. This is the third edition of this competition in collaboration with Niti Bodh as a part of Technology and Law Fair: Techtonic 2025.

This is the third edition of this competition in collaboration with Mittal, Swarup & Srinivasan Law Chambers as a part of Technology and Law Fair:Techtonic 2025 which will include participation from law students throughout the nation and abroad.

This year’s theme for the competition is ‘Inter-Sectoral Vulnerabilities of Marginalized Communities within the Governance Framework.‘
