We are delighted to announce the P.C. Markanda International Negotiation Competition, 2025, organized by the ADR & CCL Board, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. This prestigious event will be held on 14th and 15th February 2025, in virtual mode.
This competition is dedicated to fostering the spirit of dispute resolution through negotiation, with skill development at every stage. We invite participants from across the globe to engage in a transformative learning experience focused on honing their negotiation and legal problem-solving abilities.
About UILS and the ADR & CCL Board
Established in 2004-05, the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) has emerged as a center of excellence in legal education. The ADR & CCL Board of UILS actively promotes alternative dispute resolution methods through national and international competitions, workshops, and training sessions, preparing students to excel in legal careers.
Competition Details
Team Composition: Two members forming a Client-Counsel pair. The roles are fixed throughout the competition.

Submission: It is mandatory to submit a Negotiation Plan for the preliminary rounds.

Best Negotiating Pair: ₹50,000/- (US $583) + Internship Opportunity at Markanda Associates + Certificate of Merit
Runner-up Negotiating Pair: ₹30,000/- (US $350) + Internship Opportunity at CAMP Mediation + Certificate of Merit
Best Negotiating Pair (Preliminary Rounds): ₹15,000/- (US $175) + Certificate of Merit
Best Negotiation Plan: ₹5,000/- (US $59) + Certificate of Merit
Registration Fee
₹3000/- per team (National Teams)
$35 per team (International Teams)
