Apollo Global Management wins Khaitan & Co Investors’ Cricket Cup 2025

Khaitan & Co hosted the highly anticipated 5th edition of its annual Investors’ Cricket Cup, a dynamic three-day tournament in Mumbai over the weekend. In a hotly contested battle on the pitch, Apollo Global Management (Apollo Warriors) emerged victorious as the Platinum Cup winners against defending champions, General Atlantic (GA Mavericks). CPP Investments (Maple Leafs) claimed the Gold Cup, winning against Actis (Actis Aces). The Women’s Cricket Challenge had Sapphire Smashers prevailing against Strikers (both teams comprised members of Apollo, Brookfield, CPPIB, Goldman Sachs, Edelweiss AAA, NIIF and Temasek).

  • Best Batsman — Himanshu Mod from Apollo Warriors

  • Best Bowler — Saurabh Pinjani from Kedaara Super Kings

  • Best Wicketkeeper — Mukund Mundhra from GA Mavericks

  • Best Fielder — Sanchit Agarwal from NIIF Knights

Hosted from 31 January to 2 February 2025 in Mumbai, this year saw an impressive lineup of 23 teams comprising leading Indian and global private equity firms. The tournament provides an exciting platform for private equity professionals to connect beyond boardrooms, strengthening relationships through the shared passion for cricket.

It featured over 200 participants from Actis, Advent, Apollo Global Management, Ares Management Corporation, Bain Capital, Blackstone, Brookfield, The Carlyle Group, CPP Investments, Edelweiss Financial Services, General Atlantic, Goldman Sachs, Kedaara Capital, KKR, Macquarie Group, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Partners Group, Piramal Alternatives, Temasek, TPG Financial Services Inc, and Warburg Pincus LLC.
