Air and Space Law Committee
The Air and Space Law Committee at the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, is dedicated to the legal dimensions of aviation and space activities. Through events and initiatives, the committee cultivates essential skills such as research, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving among students.
The Centre of Excellence in Astronomy and Astrophysics at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) fosters innovative research, global collaboration, and researcher training to drive societal impact. The team includes esteemed faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and dedicated PhD, UG, and PG students. The Centre secures funding from prestigious agencies as DST and ISRO, reinforcing the commitment to excellence.
About the Conference
1st School of Law International Virtual Conference on Air and Space Law 2025, organized by the Air and Space Law Committee of the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, aims to serve as a premier platform for legal scholars, practitioners, students, and industry experts to discuss and deliberate on critical issues in aviation and outer space law. The event conducted in online mode includes thematic sessions, expert presentations, and panel discussions on emerging topics such as the regulation of autonomous aerial systems, liability for satellite collisions, resource utilization on celestial bodies, and intellectual property rights in space innovation. Submission Guidelines

The authors are required to submit their expression of interest on or before 15 February 2025 through the following Google form link: https://forms.gle/r1RVrDag454Uorvv5

The chapter proposals should consist of 1500 – 1800 words and submitting a full research paper is not mandatory.

The chapter proposal is to be submitted on or before 7 March 2025 through a Google form link, which will be given to the participants after their expression of interest.

Authors are required to submit a declaration alongside the final submission, affirming that their work is original, unpublished, and free from copyright violations. The format for the declaration is available here.
Formatting Guidelines

Citation style should be in accordance to the Bluebook (21st edition).

Submissions should be formatted in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5-line spacing, on A4-sized paper with 1-inch margins on all sides.

Headings should be in Times New Roman, font size 12, bold, center-aligned, with 1.5-line spacing.
-
Subheadings should use Times New Roman, font size 12, italicized, with 1.5- line spacing.

Footnotes must be in Times New Roman, font size 10, with single-line spacing.

The file should be saved in pdf format.

A maximum of one co-author is allowed per submission. All co-authors are required to register for the conference.

The submission must not contain more than 10% plagiarized content.

The School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, in keeping with its mandate of publishing original works only, adopts a stringent anti-plagiarism policy. Any paper containing any unattributed work is thus liable to be rejected.

Authors of selected chapter proposals will be invited to submit full papers, which will be considered for publication with a recognized national or international publisher.
