The President of India on 12-2-2025 appointed Justice Venkatachari Lakshminarayanan and Justice Periyasamy Vadamalai, Additional Judges of the Madras High Court as Permanent Judges with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.
The Supreme Court Collegium headed by Justice Sanjiv Khanna, the Chief Justice of India, held its meeting on 5-2-2025, wherein they recommended the appointment of the afore-stated Additional Judges as Permanent Judges for Madras High Court.
