UPES | National Technolawgy Battle: Law Student vs. AI [Register by 5th March, 2025]

The Technolawgy Club, School of Law, UPES is pleased to invite participation for the “National Technolawgy Battle: Law Student vs. AI” an analytical quiz competition being organized by the Technolawgy Club, School of Law, UPES in collaboration with Dua Associates, as a part of VidhiUtsav 2025 law fest.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION:

This unique quiz competition tests the student(s) on analytical questions based upon major technology laws. Questions asked to the participants will also be presented before an AI, and the experts will decide which one is a better answer. So, come and participate in the battle of legal wits!

THEME:

This competition tests legal acumen of the participants on analytical questions based upon major technology laws -The Constitution of India, The EU Al Act, 2024, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2024, The Telecommunications Act, 2023, The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, General Data Protection Regulation (2016), The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, The Consumer Protection Act, 2019, The Information Technology Act, 2000, The Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995, The Cable Television Networks Rules, 1994, The Copyright Act, 1957, The Cinematograph Act, 1952.

ELIGIBILITY:

The competition is open for students enrolled in any undergraduate (3 year LL.B or 5 year integrated LL.B) law programme.

TEAM:

The participants can register individually (Registration Fee- Rs. 400/- per head) or in a team of two (Registration Fee- Rs. 600/-).

Accommodation for the top six teams, qualifying for final rounds will incur separate charges.

IMPORTANT DATES:

This quiz will be conducted in hybrid mode. The preliminary rounds will take place in online mode on 8th March, 2025 and top 6 finalists will contest for final rounds in offline mode on 11th April, 2025. ** Last date to register — 5th March, 2025.

AWARDS:

All participants will receive a ‘Certificate of Participation’ and the winner will receive a cash price of INR 5000 + Appreciation Certificate
