About the Competition:

We are pleased to invite registrations for the 1st SLSP Public Policy Hackathon, 2025, organized by the Kautilya Society at Symbiosis Law School, Pune. This event offers a unique platform for students to engage in meaningful discussions and develop actionable policy solutions for critical challenges in the public sector. The SLSP Public Policy Hackathon 2025 revolves around the theme: “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Public Sector: Balancing Innovation and Responsibility.” Participants will have the opportunity to explore the intersection of technology and law, proposing innovative yet responsible frameworks for AI integration in the public sector.

Sub-themes for Abstract Submission:

  • AI in Education — Transforming Learning and Administration

  • AI in Employment and Labour Markets — Navigating Workforce Disruptions and Job Creation

  • AI and Climate Change — Advancing Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility

Eligibility:

  • Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all recognized universities and institutions.

  • Participants can register individually or in teams of 2-3 members. Cross-university teams are allowed.

Competition Format:

  • Round 1: Abstract Submission (Deadline — March 16, 2025)

  • Round 2: Policy Paper Presentation (Virtual, March 21, 2025)

Important Dates:

  • Last Date for Registration: March 15, 2025

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: March 16, 2025

  • Release of Problem Statement: March 19, 2025

  • Virtual Policy Paper Presentation: March 21, 2025

  • Declaration of Results: March 23, 2025
