In exercise of the power conferred by Article 222(1) of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, transferred Justice Chandra Dhari Singh, Judge, Delhi High Court, to be a Judge of Allahabad High Court.
The President also transferred Justice Arindam Sinha, Judge, Orissa High Court, to be a Judge of Allahabad High Court and directed him to assume charge of his office in the Allahabad High Court.
The aforesaid transfers were notified by the Ministry of Law and Justice on 28-3-2025.
The Supreme Court Collegium recommended the transfer of Justice CD Singh in November 2024 and transfer of Justice Arindam Sinha on 20-3-2025.
