Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai’s Pro Bono Club and Centre for Applied Research in Public Health Law, in collaboration with Yuvak Biradari (Bharat), is organizing the “International Policy Drafting & Presentation Competition” on 12th May 2025.
ABOUT THE ORGANISERS:
Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Mumbai, established in 2014, is a prestigious legal education institution in India, known for its commitment to promoting quality legal education and providing a conducive environment for learning and growth. Located in the bustling metropolis of Mumbai, the university follows the model of other National Law Universities in the country and stands as an autonomous law school.
Yuvak Biradari (Bharat), a national award-winning organization, has been working at the pan-India level since 1974, promoting humanity, nation-building, and national integration. Drawing philosophical inspiration from the Preamble of the Indian Constitution and the visions of Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore, Biradari envisions uniting India’s multicultural society as ‘One People, One Nation’. Inspired by Gandhi’s 1942 ‘Bharat Chhodo’ (Quit India) movement, it launched ‘Bharat Jodo’ in 1974 to build a strong socio-cultural foundation for sustainable development.
The Pro Bono Club at MNLU Mumbai is a club run in association with the Nyaya Bandhu (Pro Bono Legal Services) Program of the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice. The club is a group of students who are aiding in the implementation of laws in society.
The Centre for Applied Research in Public Health Law, Rights & Policy, established on 17th May 2023, promotes research, scholarship, and awareness in public health policies, programs, and reforms at national and global levels. With a multidisciplinary approach, the Centre engages in research, debate, and consultation to identify health law challenges and drive effective reforms in the health sector.
