The School of Law, Governance, and Public Policy at Chanakya University, in collaboration with the Chanakya Moot Court Society (CMCS), is proud to host the 1st Chanakya Moot Court Competition, scheduled to take place on 24th and 25th May 2025 at our serene and intellectually vibrant Global Campus near Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru.
This flagship event marks a significant step in our commitment to nurturing legal excellence, critical thinking, and real-world courtroom experience among budding lawyers across the nation.
About the Moot
This year’s moot proposition delves into pressing constitutional issues surrounding the Waqf Act, 1995, focusing on allegations of mismanagement, religious autonomy, property rights, and equality under Articles 14 and 15 of the Constitution of India. Participants will have the opportunity to test their legal acumen on a contemporary and highly debated issue, making this a platform that transcends the classroom and touches on the real pulse of public law.
