Thailand has moved a step closer towards becoming the First country in Southeast Asia to recognise marriage equality and Third country in Asia, after Taiwan and Nepal, to allow same-sex marriages.
Appointed directly from the Bar as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India, Justice P.S. Narasimha’s tenure as an advocate and as a Judge boasts of several landmark cases.
In a verbose verdict running into 366 pages, the 5-judge Constitution Bench of Dr DY Chandrachud, CJI and Sanjay Kishan Kaul, S. Ravindra Bhat, Hima Kohli, PS Narasimha, JJ wrote 4 opinions on the Same Sex Marriage matter where they agreed on some points and disagreed on others.
