Centre notifies appointment of 3 Permanent Judges for High Court of Telangana

The Supreme Court Collegium on 5-2-2025 headed by CJI Sanjiv Khanna recommended their appointment as Permanent Judges.
After enrolment at the Bar in 1993, Chaitali Chatterjee (Das) practiced at the High Court and City Civil Court for about 16 years and thus has extensive experience at the Bar and the Bench.
The Collegium in its meeting on 5-2-2025 recommended the appointment of 5 Permanent Judges.
The Collegium recommended the names of 2 Additional Judges to be appointed as Permanent Judges.
On 15-10-2024, the SC Collegium recommended Justice Siddaiah Rachaiah’s name for appointment as a Permanent Judge of the High Court of Karnataka against the existing vacancy.

The Collegium on 24-04-2024 recommended the appointment of 1 Permanent Judge and extension of term of 2 Additional Judges for Chhattisgarh High Court and extension of term of 1 Additional Judge for the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The Resolution dated 03-04-2024 was signed by two members of the Collegium as Justice B R Gavai was travelling out of Delhi. However, Justice Gavai verbally conveyed his agreement with the proposal.
