Following a meticulous assessment of the qualifications, the Collegium on 06-11-2023, recommended the names of the Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, Justice Augustine George Masih, and Justice Sandeep Mehta, Chief Justices of High Courts of Delhi, Rajasthan and Gauhati respectively, to be elevated as Judges of the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the name of Justice Mridul as the next Chief Justice of Manipur High Court in July 2023; however, the recommendation was pending before the Ministry of Law and Justice for approval.

Justice Ravi Shanker Jha began his legal journey by serving Madhya Pradesh High Court initially as an advocate and later as a Judge. He is set to retire on 13-10-2023 as 65th Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court after his elevation to the post in 2019.
Justice Muralidharan, who is currently serving as the Acting Chief Justice of Manipur High Court, had requested that he should be transferred to either his parent High Court or be permitted to continue in the High Court of Manipur.
The recommendations were made by the Collegium keeping in mind the integrity, qualifications and experience of the judicial officers and advocates.
The Collegium had earlier (03-08-2023) proposed to transfer Justice Jhingan to Gujarat High Court, however, the proposal was pending before the Government since 11-08-2023.
The Collegium recommended names of 7 Judges for Allahabad High Court and 11 Judges for Punjab and Haryana High Court.
