NGT takes suo motu cognizance of Telangana Forest Land Encroachments; issues notice to Forest officials
NGT noted that the news item raises substantial issue relating to compliance of the environmental norms, especially implementation of the provisions of the Indian Forest Act, 1980 and Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
